CBZ chief executive John Mangudyaof to take over at RBZ
The Zimbabwe government has appointed John Mangudya, chief executive of Harare-based commercial bank CBZ, to head the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) – replacing Gideon Gono, who stepped down in December last year.
According to local press reports, finance minister Patrick Chinamasa said on Sunday that Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe had appointed Mangudya to take up the post from May 1, 2014. The central bank is currently led by deputy governor Kupukile Mlambo, who took over from the other
