Sandra Pianalto to retire next year
Sandra Pianalto, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, has announced that she will retire from the bank early next year after 30 years at the bank, including 10 as president.
Pianalto is currently an ‘alternate' member of the Federal Open Market Committee, which sets monetary policy in the US, but her successor will spend next year as a full voting member. She also chairs the Federal Reserve's Financial Services Policy Committee, a committee of senior Fed officials responsible for
