People: Fed governor resigns; Bank of England HR chief finds herself new role

Federal Reserve: Federal Reserve governor Elizabeth Duke has resigned her post, effective August 31, after five years on the seven-strong board of governors. Duke took up the remainder of an existing term in 2008, which officially ended on January 31, 2012, but she has remained on the board without being handed a new 14-year term. Her departure means that all members of the Fed board are now appointees of current US president, Barack Obama.
