People: Bank of Italy's Saccomanni becomes Italian finance minister; Kuroda replaced at ADB
Italy: The new Italian prime minister, Enrico Letta, has picked the Bank of Italy's director-general, Fabrizio Saccomanni, to be finance minister in his new government.
Saccomanni, seen as a frontrunner to take over from Mario Draghi as governor of the Bank of Italy in 2011, is a member of the board of directors of the Bank for International Settlements and alternate to the governor, Ignazio Visco, in the Governing Council of the European Central Bank.
