People: Dijsselbloem bids for Eurogroup chair; Sanusi takes reins at WAMZ

Eurozone: Dutch finance minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem has put himself forward to take over from Luxembourg's Jean-Claude Juncker as chair of the grouping of eurozone finance ministers, the Eurogroup.

Dijsselbloem's office confirmed to Centralbanking.com that the minister would be a candidate for the role. The next meeting of the Eurogroup is on Monday, January 21, where he could be confirmed as Juncker's successor.
