National Bank of Rwanda highlights payments progress

Rwanda's retail payments infrastructure has "improved considerably", according to an activities report published by the National Bank of Rwanda on November 14.

The central bank report, which covers January to June 2012, revealed the number of ATMs increased from 167 to 232 during the six months, while the number of points of sale also grew from 227 to 385.
