Sarb reveals new non-executive director
The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) today (July 13) revealed that president Jacob Zuma had appointed Firoz Cachalia, a professor at the University of Witwatersrand School of Law, as a non-executive director to the board of the SARB.
The appointment takes effect on July 16. Cachalia's term as one of the four non-executive directors will last for three years. His selection takes the board to 14 of the full 15 members the board should have as set out by law in South Africa.
