New Norwegian coin commemorates Royal birthdays
The Norges Bank has unveiled a new commemorative silver coin that has been issued to celebrate the birthdays of the King and Queen.
Their Majesties Kong Harald V and Queen Sonja both celebrate their 75th birthdays in 2012. The coin will be available as of the King's birthday, which is today, February 21.
A competition was launched to design the coin's obverse side. The winning design was created by sculptor Håkon Anton Fagerås, and depicts the King and Queen. "In our view, the double portrait
