Kenneth Rogoff receives financial economics prize
Professor Kenneth Rogoff of Harvard University on Thursday received the 2011 Deutsche Bank Prize in Financial Economics.
In a speech congratulating Rogoff, Vítor Constâncio the vice-president of the European Central Bank said the professor had made some "outstanding contributions to economics".
Speaking in Frankfurt am Main, Constâncio stressed the "crucial" role of research in the eurosystem and for central banks. "Indeed, research has provided an essential input to the definition of the ECB's
