Malaysia’s Zeti optimistic on sukuk growth

Zeti Akhtar Aziz, the governor of the Bank Negara Malaysia, on Monday said she expected Malaysia to continue its strong economic performance in 2011 as demand of Islamic finance products continued to grow.

At an event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Zeti said: "An important part of this recovery is the strong recovery in private investment as capacity utilisation increases and as the dynamic nature of our economy presents new investment opportunities in new growth areas."
