Warsh quits Fed

Kevin Warsh, a member of the Board at the Federal Reserve, on Thursday declared his intention to resign from the Federal Reserve, seven years before his term is due to expire.

The Federal Reserve said Warsh submitted his letter of resignation to President Barack Obama and intended to step down on or around March 31, 2011.

The term of Warsh, who joined February 24, 2006, is due to end on January 31, 2018. Warsh was regarded as the Fed governor closest to financial markets, having previously
