Euro counterfeits drop by 5.9%
The number of counterfeit euro banknotes fell by 5.9% in the second half of 2010, European Central Bank (ECB) statistics published on Monday showed.
The ECB said a total of 364,000 counterfeit euro banknotes had been withdrawn from circulation in the six months to December compared with 387,000 in the first half of the year.
