Sri Lanka's Cabraal gets second term
Ajith Nivard Cabraal, the governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, has been reappointed as head of the institution, the central bank said on Thursday.
Mahinda Rajapaksa, the country's President, appointed Cabraal to serve a second term of six years, beginning on 1 July, the central bank said. Cabraal was made governor of the central bank in July 2006, having served as Rajapaksa's economic adviser during the Presidential campaign that year.
