Ireland sets pace with governance reform proposals
The Central Bank and Financial Services Authority of Ireland on Tuesday published a public consultation paper on new corporate governance standards for its banks and insurance companies in a bid to revive the reputation of its financial industry.
The new proposals set out minimum requirements on how banks and insurance companies should organise the governance of their institutions, and include rules on membership of the board, the role of the chairman and the operation of various board
