SA finance minister flip flops on inflation targeting

Concern over the durability of South Africa's inflation-targeting framework hit the rand on Thursday following comments by Pravin Gordhan, the country's finance minister.

Gordhan told Radio 702, a South African broadcaster, on Thursday morning that the central bank had to be "mindful of growth" and "approach inflation in a way that is totally different from the past."
