Hayami to resign (maybe)

According to a report from the Friday 27 edition of Japanese newspaper, Yomiuri Shimbun, Governor of the Bank of Japan, Masaru Hayami plans step down after attending a meeting of top financial officials of the Group of Seven (G-7) this weekend in Washington if Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi accepts his resignation.
