Kosovo to establish a central bank

Economy and Finance Minister Haki Shatri told KosovaLive website that UNMIK (UN Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo) and the government finally have agreed that Banking and Payment Authority of Kosova will become the Central Bank of Kosova.

Shatri said there is full agreement on the matter and that only some technical issues remain which will be completed in a short time.

"UNMIK has decided it after the suggestions from New York," the minister said.

He said that after power handover, the BPK
