Finance Minister on Bank of France reorganisation

The French finance minister has reassured that the expected reorganisation at the Bank of France will not involve redundancies.

Francis Mer, the French finance minister, has repeated that planned restructuring at the Bank of France, the French central bank, will not involve redundancies, in response to questions from the French mayors' association (AMF) over the closure of some of the bank's branches.

Mr. Mer also said that the government would draw up a public service contract
