Atlanta Fed estimates US GDP growth remains above 4%

Economy expanded by 4.1% in Q2, in strongest performance since mid-2014

The US economy is continuing to grow strongly in the third quarter of the year, according to research published by  the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

The Atlanta Fed’s GDPNow index says US real GDP growth in the third quarter stood at 4.3%, according to its latest update on August 16. The economy expanded by 4.1% in the second quarter of 2018, the strongest performance since the third quarter of 2014, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
