Sarb launches its first app-based quarterly bulletin

User feedback reveals current format is cumbersome and “static”

The South African Reserve Bank has launched its quarterly bulletin on a mobile app for the first time, hoping to make the publication more accessible to members of the public.

Speaking to Central Banking, a representative from the bank’s economic, research and statistics department (ERSD) says the Sarb received feedback from internal and external users on the publication, who found the current format to be “static” and not “user-friendly”.

“The department needs to move towards a mobile
