Headline inflation rates are more highly correlated than core inflation, authors find
Developed countries have increasingly synchronised inflation rates as they become more linked to other economies, according to research published by the Bank of Spain.
In The relationship between inflation rates in advanced economies, Luis Álvarez, Ana Gómez Loscos and Maria Dolores Gadea find this trend particularly strong in the eurozone.
