Benoît Cœuré attacks lack of political will by eurozone leaders
European single market needs serious reform, says retiring ECB official
Senior European Central Bank official Benoît Cœuré has said the eurozone’s failure to mount a full economic recovery is largely due to a lack of will by its political leaders.
Cœuré sat on the ECB’s governing council from 2011 and is due to step down at the end of this year. He was widely seen as one of the major figures at the ECB under the leadership of Mario Draghi.
