Hungary tentatively holds rates
MNB also changes forward guidance as inflation picks up
The Central Bank of Hungary (MNB) on January 28 unanimously decided to hold its policy rate at 6.5% for the fourth time since October.
Barbabás Virág, the MNB’s deputy governor, said the bank believed the key rate would remain at its current level for a prolonged period as investors that had previously invested in emerging markets had become more risk-averse.
