People: McWilliams resigns from FDIC
New appointments at IMF and Indonesian central bank
US: Jelena McWilliams, chairman of the board of directors of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) since mid-2018, has announced her resignation effective February 4.
McWilliams is a Republican who was nominated to the role by former US president Donald Trump. She recently strongly criticised the Democratic administration of current president Joe Biden for its policy towards the FDIC.
