People: RBNZ chief economist to leave after 25 years

ECB appoints lead for digital euro project and new director for banknote department

New Zealand: The Reserve Bank of New Zealand’s chief economist has announced he will leave the institution in 2022, after 25 years’ service.   

Yuong Ha will leave following the publication of the February 2022 monetary policy statement, the RBNZ said in a statement. Ha is also a member of the RBNZ’s monetary policy committee and head of the economics department.
