People: SNB board appoints new member
Former Bank of Jamaica senior official appointed to lead financial services commission; and more
Switzerland: The Swiss government has appointed Cornelia Stamm Hurter to the Swiss National Bank’s council.
Hurter will take up the post in May 2022, replacing Ernst Stocker, who is stepping down in April 2022 after 12 years, the maximum term for any council member. Hunter will serve the remaining two years of his four-year term.
She is currently a member of the cantonal government of Schaffhausen, where she holds the position of head of the department of finance.
