People: BoE governor appoints first female private secretary
St Louis Fed appoints new COO; new appointments in Kazakhstan; and more
UK: The governor of the Bank of England, Andrew Bailey, has chosen Laura Wallis to be his private secretary from August 3.
Wallis is the first woman to hold the role and will be in charge of managing the governor’s office when she takes up the post later this year. She will oversee the implementation of the governor’s policies, manage Bailey’s briefings and provide advice when needed.
She will replace Rich Windram, who has acted as interim secretary during the transition between Bailey and
