UK: The Bank of England has reappointed Michael Saunders and Anil Kashyap as external members to two of its main policy committees.

Saunders has been an external member of the monetary policy committee (MPC) for three years and will continue for a second term, which will end on August 9, 2022. Previously, he had been head of European economics at Citigroup.

He is also considered one of the MPC’s most hawkish members, having voted to raise interest rates more than twice as many times as any
