Former RBNZ deputy takes over as Grant Spencer sets his sights on retirement
The Reserve Bank of New Zealand will undergo another change of leadership in March 2018, when acting governor Grant Spencer makes way for Adrian Orr.
In a statement published today (December 11), New Zealand’s finance minister, Grant Robertson, said the decision had been “unanimous” among the central bank’s board.
“I’m delighted the board has been able to secure a governor with such a strong track record of delivery and public service,” he said.
