New York Fed’s Dudley set to retire early

William Dudley says he wants to ensure a successor is in place “well before” the end of his term

Federal Reserve Bank of New York president William Dudley is to retire early, he revealed today (November 6).

Dudley had been set to finish his term as chief in January 2019, but now plans to retire in mid-2018 “to ensure that a successor is in place well before the end of his term”, according to a statement released by the New York Fed.
