People: Ma Jun departs PBoC; Brazil promotes directors

China: The chief economist of the People’s Bank of China has stepped down and will now take up a position at the National Finance Research Institute of Tsinghua University.
Ma Jun’s contract at the central bank has come to an end and he is currently in a transition period, according to state news agency Xinhua. A successor is yet to be announced.
In his new role, Ma plans to focus on macroeconomic policy, financial risks, green finance and other areas. He will retain his position as chair of
