Singapore: The managing director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has been granted a fourth consecutive two-year term in office. Ravi Menon will also retain his seat on the central bank’s board.

He has been at the helm of Singapore’s central bank since 2011, having previously served as permanent secretary at the Ministry of Trade and Industry and deputy secretary at the Ministry of Finance.

Menon joined the bank in 1987, and has held numerous posts involving monetary policy
