Bank of Russia deputy governor retires; ex-RBI governor Subbarao takes up academic post

Russia: The head of the Central Bank of Russia's legal department, deputy governor Sergey Golubev, has retired – leading to two new senior appointments at the central bank.

Vasily Pozdyshev, currently head of the banking regulation department, is promoted to deputy governor in charge of banking regulation and banking supervision. Alexey Guznov is the new head of the legal department. Both appointments were announced today, and are effective from May 5, 2014.
