South African Mint executives leave company for good

The South African Reserve Bank (Sarb) today (June 7) announced that two senior management figures at the South African Mint Company (SA Mint) had left the organisation permanently following a lengthy investigation into "technical issues" at the mint.

Managing director Andile Mvinjelwa and general manager numismatics, Thomas Davel, reached a "mutual agreement of separation" to leave the SA Mint for good following their suspension on December 8, 2011, the central bank said.
