Philip Lane today (January 22) announced a string of measures aimed at boosting the Central Bank of Ireland's transparency, in his first speech since taking over as governor.

Speaking to the Institute of Directors today (January 22), Lane revealed plans to disclose more about how policy is made and reviewed, as well as how staff are paid.

"I am conscious that more needs to be done to build the level of trust among the public that the central bank will take the correct actions to safeguard
