Delayed restructuring prompts strike action at Central Bank of Cyprus
Cypriot central bank staff strike over lack of communication from senior management on restructuring plans
Disgruntled employees at the Central Bank of Cyprus went on strike on January 24, amid an ongoing dispute over the organisation’s restructuring.
According to a statement published by the Cyprus Union of Bank Employees (ETYK), staff were directed to strike for two hours following senior management’s decision to “postpone” talks.
