Gibson issues ultimatum to board regarding replacement of suspended central bank president Emsley Tromp
The finance minister of Sint Maarten has threatened to disband the supervisory board of the central bank should its members not find a solution to the bank’s current management problems.
At a press conference on May 10, Robert Gibson accused the board of not acting in the best interest of the bank during a recent meeting when a discussion about extending the term of one of the executive directors reached an impasse.
