Governor says law-maker accused him of “stealing”
Hungary's central bank governor has launched a lawsuit against a Socialist parliamentarian. Governor György Matolcsy was taking legal action against Gergely Bárándy for allegedly accusing him of "stealing", the Hungarian central bank (MNB) said in a statement published in Hungarian today (June 7).
Matolcsy is seeking damages of 1 million forints ($3,660) and recognition by the court that Bárándy's remarks had been unlawful, the statement said. Bárándy's words went "beyond the limits of
