The Argentine central bank denies conservative newspaper’s charges of hiding US dollar trades
The Argentine central bank has issued a formal denial that it has falsified its official figures related to the sale of US dollars, following accusations made by the conservative newspaper La Nacion. The move comes as the centre-right challenger in Argentina's forthcoming presidential election said that if he won the election he expected central bank governor Alejandro Vanoli to quit his post.
Mauricio Macri, who is the candidate of the Cambiemos coalition, said Vanoli seemed like "a militant"
