The National Bank of Angola is separating financial regulation from supervision in its organisational structure, as the central bank looks to optimise its supervisory functions.

According to a statement issued yesterday, the National Bank of Angola board of directors reviewed the current operating model and decided to "establish a clear separation between the exercise of developing standards and the role of monitoring [their] implementation".
