Hungary drops plan to merge central bank with regulator
Hungary's prime minister Viktor Orbán has dropped plans to merge its central bank with the national regulator after coming under severe pressure from the international community.
According to newswire Reuters, Orbán told Hungarian radio Kossuth that his government planned to modify all contested legislation to meet the European Union demands. "Naturally, several laws may have to be modified, but the government cannot do it, this can be done only by parliament, and we will make proposals to this
