Budapest sets sights on Hungary’s rate-setting council
Budapest's Ministry for the National Economy confirmed Wednesday that it is mounting a bid to give a parliamentary committee the power to appoint all four of the National Bank of Hungary's external rate-setters, in a fresh attempt to curtail the central bank's authority.
