Banks have "very low" numbers of women on their boards, the EBA warns

The number of women in senior management and supervisory positions in financial institutions in Europe is "very low", according to a report by the European Banking Authority (EBA), published on July 8.

Only 13.63% of European banks' senior management positions and 18.9% of supervisory functions are held by women, the EBA says in its report on the benchmarking of diversity practices.
