Kansas Fed’s George: 2017 will be ‘significant’ year for US payments
Some of the hardest work still to come, Fed president says
The US faster payments project will reach important milestones in 2017 as participants move from design to implementation, Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City president Esther George said on October 12.
"After almost two years, I am pleased at the progress we've made," George told a payments symposium in Chicago. "We expect to mark some significant developments next year." The task force of over 300 payments stakeholders will report on the 22 proposals it has received in mid-2017.
