A new International Monetary Fund (IMF) user guide for systemic risk monitoring takes stock of the IMF's current toolkit and offers suggestions on how to use tools, taking into account their nature, focus and relative merits and limitations, while also focusing on the systemic risk signals, including their timeliness, the types of risks they cover and ways of interpreting them.
