Bank of Israel allows banks to resume dividend payments
Central bank recommends ‘prudent approach’ as Covid-19's impact remains uncertain
The Bank of Israel will allow the country’s banks to start distributing dividends again after the emergency pause, it said today (July 15).
“In view of the increasing trend of recovering from the Covid-19 related economic disruption, and in view of the soundness of the banks in Israel that enables them to support economic activity, banks may recommence deliberations on dividend distributions,” the BoI said.
But it added banks should base their decisions on “a prudent and conservative approach
