UK’s FCA unveils global network of 12 regulators that will collaborate on innovative technology

The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority today (August 7) unveiled a global network of regulators that will collaborate on a joint fintech sandbox, among other roles.

The Global Financial Innovation Network (GFIN) brings together 12 bodies, including the FCA, aiming to build a “more efficient way” for firms to interact with regulators, while allowing regulators to co-operate on fintech-related topics. The FCA first raised the idea of a global network in a consultation in February.
