Global economy will be ‘anaemic’ – IMF

Inflation falling, but central banks will only reach targets over 2024 and 2025

Hopes are fading for a smooth exit from the inflation crisis, says the International Monetary Fund, as financial instability joins the list of threats to economic recovery.

The April 2023 World Economic Outlook has predicted “anaemic” growth in coming years. The fund forecasts growth of 2.8% in 2023, rising to 3% in 2024.
