Governor Fehmi Mehmeti says economy is vulnerable but the central bank is taking action

The Kosovan economy is vulnerable to the effects of the Covid-19 shock, but the country’s central bank is implementing several defensive measures, governor Fehmi Mehmeti said on April 3.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo is working to safeguard payment systems and ensure cash supplies continue to flow, the governor told journalists. Furthermore, the central bank is granting a “grace period” for loans and ensuring borrowers do not have their ratings downgraded for failing to pay.
