The Dutch central bank says the amount of money flowing through the country to low-tax jurisdictions (LTJs) has decreased significantly.

In a blogpost on December 11, The Netherlands Bank (DNB) says the amounts flowing into the country ostensibly as foreign direct investment but in reality to be redirected to tax havens were on a “steady upward trend” until 2019.

Between 2017 and 2019, large multinationals funnelled €37 billion a year on average – some $38.9 billion, the DNB says.
